As General Manager and IT director for RexDon, I have had the pleasure of working with Frontline since 1996. Prior to Q7, we had grown to rely on the stability and flexibility of Frontline's previous product for nearly every business process from dispatching through billing and payroll.

As we prepared to switch to Q7, our dispatchers often asked why I wanted to fix something that wasn't broken. However, Q7 has quickly won them over with its complete feature set and ease of use. One day a dispatcher informed me that he had dispatched for the first 2 hours of the day using only his mouse: dispatching drivers, entering dates, searching loads . . . all point and click!

Accuracy of data entry and scheduling has also improved greatly, since nearly all of the information the dispatchers might need is readily available, customizable, and in one place.

SEMPER TRUCKING, INC based in Fresno CA, is a family owned trucking company that has been serving California for seven decades including three family generations. While our focus is on the Central San Joaquin Valley, we also serve all of California and the seven western states. We primarily haul Ag based products, including cotton, hay and nuts, while also hauling aggregate, livestock, import/export, interstate and special dimension - with up to 100 trucks on the road utilizing both company drivers and owner/operators.

With 25 years experience in Accounting and IT, I’ve been with Semper Trucking Inc. since 1999 as the accounting and IT decision maker for the corporation. We had been successfully using the Frontline Pro Edition, and then, due to expansion, we began to review our software options and discovered Frontline’s new Q7. It held the promise of taking features found in their existing product that were already very solid and stepping it into the 21st century. Instead of a modular design, it’s a complete system with more third party application interfacing and data export. Our concern was whether Q7 would have all the critical features and reporting we utilized from their Pro Edition.

Q7 has met our requirements and even increased our productivity and accuracy. With the largest part of our business consisting of shuttle work, we deal with a very high volume of weekly orders. Q7 has delivered the speed of processing and the accounting control to smoothly handle this. Our customers are satisfied with our billing and our drivers love their statements that clearly detail their pay items. Through Q7 Dispatching and PC*Miler, we have a more accurate accounting of all segments of a driver’s load and mileage with less booking effort. We’ve also realized a significant decrease in overall accounting processing time due to the complete system integration.

We’ve been completely satisfied with Frontline as our software provider. When we have any questions or problems, the support staff is quick to assist. They’ve always gone the extra mile to make sure our data is safe and they maintain a highly professional attitude toward support and development. We’ve found them to strive for excellence in producing a product that performs for numerous types of commercial trucking companies.
